Who We Are

Dear guest,

Welcome to Villa Ripe Rosse, our special place for three generations.

The property is located in the heart of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park, on top of a cliff overlooking the sea and crossed by a private pine forest that connects the residence to its private beach.

The clean lines of the house, whose architecture seems to be inspired by the famous F. Lloyd Wright Waterfall House, blends perfectly into the surrounding nature. is an intimate and welcoming place, perfect to recharge your batteries and stay in nature.

The infinity pool, as well as the different nature trails that branch off throughout the extension of the pine forest will complete the experience.

The Villa has always been the holiday resort of our family, until we decided to open its doors and share the beauty of this place, to allow our guests to fully know the authenticity and charm of the Cilento territory, place full of history, traditions and rich in natural gems and landscapes.

Book your holiday and come to live a regenerating experience out of time. For any questions, contact us, we will be happy to meet you and provide you with all the information.

See you soon,
Rose and Ludovica

Villa Ripe Rosse

Our History

The history of Villa Ripe Rosse begins a few years before its construction, and is a story of friendship and belonging, different from all the others.
Osvaldo, my grandfather and Rose’s father – said Buzzi -, born in Campania and Veneto adoption, lands on the coast of Cilento, a little ‘by chance, a little’ for (s)fortune.

While he was heading south with his small and proud motorboat, on the occasion of the September holidays that he jealously carved out every year, still very far from the goal, he came across a buriana – a storm as sudden as violent – that forces him to take shelter in the first slice of less exposed sea. That piece of sheltered sea is the port of San Marco di Castellabate, which at the time was so modest and contained to be even omitted from the port maps.

The storm lasts for 3 days and 3 nights; in this short period of time, holed up in the marina of fortune, my grandfather knows Giovanni, called Giuà who, with his authentic ways and his genuineness, conquers him. He always told ” I decided to stop, in the end, because John’s eyes spoke only one language and it was a language of which I understood every word “.

The makeshift port becomes the home of the whole holiday, and so the following year and the other again and again, until, with Giuà always at his side, he does not know about the sale of the land on which (then) this house was built.

Belonging to the land was already rooted but now my grandfather had a new mission was new: build a house for his family, in the land that had become his second home respecting every square inch of the territory that had welcomed and protected him.

This is how Villa Ripe Rosse was born, cared for and accompanied in every little detail by the eyes and hands of the man who designed and built it and by the nature that housed and guarded it, in – almost – perfect synergy between them.
